What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient form of hands-on healing thought to have originated as a Tibetan Buddhist practice. It is the Universal Life Force Energy found in all things living. “Healing” means the feeling of being whole. We all need healing every day.
During a session, you remain clothed and usually lie down. Reiki is channeled from the Universe through the practitioner’s body and out the hands to various points on the client’s body. Only the right amount beneficial to each individual client is transmitted. Reiki knows exactly where to go to help heal, harmonize, and balance, as long as the client is open and receptive.
Reiki is not a substitute for treatment by a licensed medical physician. Reiki is not massage. Reiki is a complementary therapy. It is a gentle hands-on-hands-off technique, with most people experiencing a delicious warmth or coolness. They get up from their session feeling peaceful, relaxed, balanced, less sore, whole, alive, and generally good.

Thank you for the extraordinary opportunity to offer Reiki sessions to individuals desiring to heal, harmonize, and balance their mind, body, spirit and emotions. I practice the Unlimited Reiki System of natural healing. I am a 10th generation Reiki master from Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan through Mrs. Hawayo Takata of Kauai. I received the attunements and certification from my teachers Alice Anne Parker and Lori Wong in the summer of 2003.
I am a Hawaiian native, born in Honolulu. My father was born in Paia, Maui, and my mother was born in Kohala, Hawaii. My maternal grandmother gave me my Chinese name Oe-Len, that also is my Reiki name. It means “Love Continued.” The charge to the 10th generation of Reiki masters is to continue the love.
Ever unfolding. My journey in this lifetime has given me much to be thankful for. I can write stories, make art, play music, and love. Channeling Reiki seems a most natural thing for me to do.

I have been poring over your website, Rebekah. Your writings draw me in, I feel like a voyeur. Your paintings are delicious. We’ve been to many of the places in your travels about which you write; most especially the visit to Hungary where we spent three weeks in the Fall of 2008 & where I met my long lost relatives after extensive genealogy research. We were hosted like visiting royalty. My once in a lifetime trip to Europe will be a memory forever burned in my heart … the Reiki site drew me in … I have always benefited from healing methodologies, having had Polio as a child. Perhaps, a Reiki treatment would help. Balance and a wholistic approach to daily living has always been a challenge.
