Popo Goes to Italy is an illustrated travel diary in production, describing the author’s experiences of a family trip to the regions of Campania and Tuscany. Not your typical European vacation. For a preview, please go to http://rebekahstravels.wordpress.com.

The Chong Family in A New Millennium, authored by James H. Kim On Chong-Gossard and edited by Rebekah Luke, is the 2012 sequel to The Chong Family History (see below).  Includes Chong-Gossard’s reflections upon six generations of family. Additional articles, essays, photographs, genealogy charts, and memorials by other family members. View the electronic version at http://chongfamily.wordpress.com. For the ink-on-paper book, go to http://blurb.com/bookstore/.

Umeke Writings: An Anthology I had the pleasure of co-editing this anthology about gratitude for Na Kamalei—K.E.E.P. with Meleanna Aluli Meyer. There is a very nice review of it on amazon.com. It’s about gratitude from the perspective of Native Hawaiians. The listing says temporarily out of stock, but amazon.com can order it pretty quickly from the distributor. $5 (Clicking on the title will take you to amazon.com where you may read the review.)

The Chong Family History by J. H. Kim On Chong-Gossard is the story of five generations of a Chinese American family in Hawaii. The clan was led by my maternal grandparents, Chong How Kong and Pan Siu Chin, both originally from eastern Kwangtung province who immigrated to Kohala. Available directly from Chong Hee Books, P. O. Box 574, Kaaawa, HI 96730. $35.00. Direct inquiries to rebekahluke@hawaii.rr.com.
